Author of the book Economics Paul A. Samuelson (born 1915) is a PhD from Harvard University and a professor of economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition to this book, he has authored Theoretical Basis of Economic Analysis (1948) and Linear Programming and Economic Analysis (1958). He has also written many papers, such as "The Joint Effect of Multiplier Analysis and the Principle of Acceleration" (1939), "The Dilemma of Liberals" (1972), and so on. His dissertation on economics has been included in two multi-volume collections. Because he developed orthodox western economics in several aspects, he has a good reputation in the western world and has become an authoritative figure in modern western economics. He was elected president of the American Economic Association.
Received the Nobel Prize in Economics (1970), and has served as an advisor to several US government fiscal and financial institutions and numerous other positions.
